2020… One helluva heavyweight bout
This has been a year full of adversity and challenges for all of us. I think it’s safe to say we’ve all taken a couple on the chin.
GOOD!!
We want to be challenged!!!
Because overcoming challenges makes us stronger, and although that may sound cliché, that’s our main objective at Titans Boxing Club - in the ring and in life.
We want to get stronger, smarter, and faster so that we can consistently overcome new and potentially bigger challenges. It isn’t always easy, but it damn near is always worth it.
Apart from all the madness, we have had a pretty successful first year of operation. We have added two additional owners/coaches - Jordan Blythe and Tim Chemelli. Both men are huge assets to our team. They bring years of combined boxing experience and knowledge, but more than that - they are both incredible individuals. They embody everything it means to be a Titan, and their passion for helping others knows no bounds. They make us a much better team and we’re glad they’ve become a part of our family.
Many locals have adopted the sport, and it is incredibly rewarding knowing that we played a part in that. We’ve seen people come into the gym with zero boxing experience that are now ready for competition under the lights (whenever that will be).
We’ve also sold a ton of awesome Titans merch. It’s great to see people around town wearing our gear. It makes me proud, but more importantly grateful. Grateful to all of YOU. We can’t thank you enough for all of your continuous support – through all the ups and downs.
We don’t know when events will start happening again - but let’s continue to train, learn and grow into the Titans we all have inside us.
Signing off for 2020,
Dean Mayrand
